EVEREST TREK [15D/14N]
Day 01 | Arrive Kathmandu
- Meet and transfer to hotel
- Dinner at the hotel
- Overnight in Kathmandu
Day 02 | Kathmandu: Sightseeing and trek Preparation
- Tour of Durbar Square, Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath stupa and Boudhanath stupa which are all world heritage sites
- Trek participants getting to know meet-up
- Overnight in Kathmandu
Day 03 | Fly to Lukla (2840 M) trek to Phakding(2610 M)( 40 min Flight,Hiking-3-4 Hours,Walking Distance- 8 KM)
- Early morning flight to Lukla
- We walk on a trail that gradually descends to Cheplung village from where we get a glimpse of Mt. Khumbila
- Then we gradually descend until Phakding
- Overnight in Phakding
Day 04 | Phakding to Namche Bazaar(3440M,Hiking-5-6 Hours,Walking Distance-11KM)
- Start the trail which passes through a pine forest and go north up the Benkar valley
- Cross Dudh Koshi River and pass Chumoa and Monjo villages before reaching the entrance of the Everest National Park
- Cross a suspension bridge, we pass Jorsale village and walk alongside the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers
- Ascend on a steep trail and reach Namche Bazaar, the biggest town in the Everest region
- Overnight in Namche Bazaar
Day 05 | Acclimatization Day - Namche Bazaar
- Tour of Namche Bazaar
- We can also hike-up to Sagarmatha National Park and enjoy the sunrise over the Himalayas including Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde
- Optional Tour: Trek to Khumjung village or visit the Hillary School and a monastery which houses a yeti scalp
- Overnight in Namche Bazaar
Day 06 | Namche Bazaar to Tengboche(3860 M,Hiking-5-6 Hours,Walking Distance-10KM)
- Trek until Phunki is an easy walk
- We ascend towards Tengboche village to see the biggest monastery, Tengboche monastery
- Overnight in Tengboche
Day 07 | Tengboche to Dingboche (4410M,Hiking-5-6 Hours,Walking Distance-9 KM)
- Our trail today starts from Debuche, the Imja River, Himalayan vista and the Pangboche Monastery
- Then, Imja Valley and Lobuche River before ascending to Dingboche
Day 08 | Dingboche: Acclimatization
- Climb a ridge located behind the village and see six of the world’s tallest peaks including Lhotse, Makalu
and Cho Oyu
- Overnight at Dingboche
Day 09 | Dingboche to Lobuche(4910M,Hiking-5-6Hours,Walking Distance-8KM)
- We ascend to the steep terminal moraine of the Khumbu Glacier and Chupki Lhara
- The top of the ridge is filled with prayer flags and stones which are memorial shrines for climbers who lost their lives on Mt. Everest
- As the trail drops to the Khumbu Glacier moraine, we find ourselves facing several great peaks including Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori and Mahalangur Himal
- As we are crossing Khumbu Glacier we can also see Mt. Nuptse
- Overnight in Lobuche
Day 10 | Lobuche to Gorak Shep(5153M,Hiking-6-7Hours,Walking Distance-13KM)
- Trek to Everest Base Camp is not very difficult. However, we ascend and descend mostly on a glacier path
- The Everest Base Camp is stunningly beautiful. We can enjoy amazing views of Nuptse, Khumbuste and Pumori mountains from the base camp
- After soaking in the beauty, we walk back towards Gorak Shep where we spend the night
- Overnight in Gorak Shep
Day 11 | From Gorak Shep Trek back to Pheriche(4371M,Hiking-7-8Hours,Walking Distance-16KM)
- Wake up early for the walk up to Kala Patthar to see Lingtren, Khumbutse, and Changtse mountains
- Spend some time at the summit of Kala Patthar and walk back to Gorak Shep
- Then, descend to Pheriche to spend the night
Day 12 | Pheriche to Namche Bazaar(Hiking -6-7 Hours ,Walking Distance-20 KM)
- Cross a bridge over the Dudh Koshi River
- The path eventually reaches Sansa from where we can enjoy views of Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Nuptse mountains
- We walk on winding trails followed by another walk through a forest before reaching Namche Bazaar
- Overnight in Namche Bazaar
Day 13 | Namche Bazaar to Lukla(Hiking-6-7Hours,Walking distance-19KM)
- We begin our trek to Namche Bazaar today on a rocky terrain. It is mostly a downhill trek on a trail alongside the Dudh Koshi River
- We cross several suspension bridges, pass by several monasteries and villages before reaching Lukla
- After Lukla, balance of the day is free
- Overnight in Lukla
Day 14 | Fly to Kathmandu
- Depart for Kathmandu after our long mountain journey
- After reaching Kathmandu, we can take a rest or do some souvenir shopping
- Overnight in Kathmandu
Day 15 | Final departure
- Our adventure in Nepal ends today
- Our representative will drop at the Tribhuvan International Airport 3-4 Hours before the scheduled flight
